Carolina Pino

photoChilean artist who lives and works in Chile.
His work explores and questions the intersection between art and new media development projects combining wearables, sculpture and portable technology including social change and human behavior. Pino is interested in teaching and developing the skills of creative applications to new technologies and their movements. Carolina is BFA from the University of Chile, with postgraduate studies in Cultural Management from the Catholic University of Chile and courses in the Arts and the Faculty of Architecture at Columbia University. He holds a Masters in Interactive Telecommunications Program of New York University. He put the Fund for the Arts, Fondart, in Chile in 2000, 2002, 2005, 2007, 2008, Fulbright Scholarship in 2005 and the prestigious Tisch School of the Arts Scholarship Award Dean of New York University the same year .
Among others, Pino has exhibited his work at: Foresight International Digital Art Festival – Reno NV. U.S. 2009/MAC Museum of Contemporary Art, Chile-2009/Milano Triennale, Italy – 2008.

His work was recently published in the journal deArquitectura Nb 20, University of Chile in 2009, the crisis of the book in Spain in 2009, the book MINIMUM HOUSING International Publishing in 2009. and GOOD Magazine, USA
Used in the magazine Burda, Germany, the newspaper El Mercurio, Chile and blogs like the ones-make-money-not-art, Boom Design, Engadget and others in the U.S., Spain, France, Germany, Asia and Latin America.
Pino had co-founded Pop-Up! Art Collectivein NY, USA and interactive Duplo inSantiago Arts and Technology, Chile.
He currently teaches at the Faculty of Architecture of the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile, Uniacc and Pacific University. She lectures, courses and workshops that include physical computing and the use of technology in creative contexts.
