Alejandra Pérez

Elpueblodechina is the alias of Alejandra Perez (1972). Her work is developed in diverse fields such as noise and performance, alternated with the development of free software tools, electronics and writing craft. She has a degree in Psychology and Aesthetics, Catholic University of Chile, with a Masters in Media Design Piet Zwart Institute in Rotterdam. She has participated in interdisciplinary and collaborative projects, dealing with electromagnetic ecologies, psychogeography and polar studies (http://cartografiasonora.org). Has presented sound works in countries like Norway, Spain, Canada, Russia, France, Belgium, Holland ermany, Brazil and Peru, in addition to workshops where explores the expressive potential of open technologies, finding new forms of social and aware of the means used.
