Pilar Quinteros

Imagen 6Born in 1988 (Santiago, Chile). Bachelor of Arts at the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile (2006-2011). In his artistic work establishes the technique of drawing as a directional tool, to delve into its multiple possibilities of movement material, through collage and three-dimensionality, which gradually leads them to develop what will be their work in public. She has made a number of interventions on deteriorating buildings with cardboard. One was on the facade of the Museum of Contemporary Art (MAC), the video recording was introduced in May 2010 inside the same building. Following shown her work in exhibition spaces such as Sala Cero (2011), House E (2012), Contemporary Art Fair 2012 and Local ArteBA Contemporary Art (2012).
She is co-founder and active member of the art collective MICH (International Museum of Chile), multidisciplinary group dedicated to generating thoughtful projects, art spaces and artistic creations.
It has recently been announced winner of the Jean-Claude Reynal Scholarship 2012 for artists whose artistic production considered crucial role as a construction material. This is a grant to travel to a residence designed by the Fondation de France in conjunction with the Museum of Fine Arts in Bordeaux, France.
