Born in Santiago de Chile in 1979. Communicator is majoring in Film Studies, Institute Arcos, Santiago, Chile, and Masters in Contemporary Art and New Media Studio National des Arts Contemporains, Le Fresnoy, France. Enrique Ramirez’s work could be described as poetic forays into contemporary dystopias humanizing. His films, photographs and installations working with the politics of exodus, exile and discontinuity of memory, but Ramirez is always an arduous search in the imaginary subjective. The vast landscapes that often appear in his work are seen as geo-poetic spaces of imagination, territories open for viewing and to roam. The mood of the images is contemplative state: the scenery, the breeze, water, sand, appear to work together in an effort to give a subjective view.
