David Maulen

David Maulen studied a BA in Fine Arts at Universidad de Chile, earned a postgraduate diploma in Cultural Studies from Rockefeller Foundation and Universidad Arcis, and a Master in ICSO Communication from UACh. As a researcher he specializes in art, science, technology and society interfaces. He has collabed in projects for Documenta, Kassel and Taschen Publications. As a curator he worked in III Bienal de Arte: situación del arte contemporáneo chileno en MNBA, Chile (2001). He developed a qualitative map design with specific data between performance and architecture for SCL2110 International Seminar, and a data visualization system for the Chilean Ministry of Public Works. He has published articles in Saint James Guide to Hispanic Artists, Documenta Magazines, Revista De Arquitectura by FAU Universidad de Chile, Revista Humboldt, Revista Marcelina of Sao Paulo. He has won investigation funds from Fundación Andes, Conicyt, CEU Uniacc, FONDART. He has teached at Universidad de Chile, Universidad Diego Portales, UACh, DUOC UC, UNIACC and UDD. Recently, he has worked as a researcher at the New Media Department of Chilean Ministry of Arts and Culture (2011 – 2012), and the television series Masters of Form and Space from ARTV channel.
